PURPOSE
The purpose of YouthQuake Live is to provide alternative Christian entertainment that unflinchingly confronts issues relevant to today’s teenagers, and to inspire young people to lead a revolution of righteousness and boldly fulfill their God-given destiny.  Youth Quake Live is led by founder and executive director Sean Yost.  In addition to being in the ministry for over fifteen years, Sean serves as Associate Pastor at Christ the Redeemer Church in Ponte Vedra Beach.  It was Sean's youth group who first came back from a mission trip with the desire to do something significant to reach teens in our city. 

HISTORY
YouthQuake live began in February 1995 at Christ the Redeemer Church.  Two churches made up the cast of twenty and about forty teens came to the first show.  The YouthQuake Live cast now has 140 members representing over 40 churches in drama, dance, band and tech crew.  Each show brings over 2,000 teens to several Jacksonville churches.  Now in its 10th season, YQL has made national news on CBS’s 700 Club” including the show “In God We Trust,” YQL’s answer to the terrorist attacks on America on September 11, 2001.  Other significant events included our largest show at the Jacksonville Landing with over 4000 in attendance and the celebration of our 10 year anniversary in February of 2005.

A fundamental Belief that God wants to use young people.
A sincere love for the whole body of Christ.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the present-day manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit as recorded in 1st Corinthians 12:14.

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and lost:  The saved to the resurrection of life and the lost to damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ Jesus.

WANT TO HOST YQL?

Host churches must be located in Jacksonville, Florida and have an auditorium or sanctuary that fits at least 1,300 people. If you meet these qualifications please contact the office at 904.285.8009 ex33.

If you are out of the Jacksonville area we encourage churches to start their own version of YouthQuake Live. We even have a manual to help you get started. It is filled with ideas and a step-by-step process to making YQL a reality in your city or town. Call or email us for information.
